I recently had my furnace red-tagged by the gas company due to a gas leak, and they shut off the gas valve in my attic. I initially contacted an air and heating company I've used several times before. Their technician inspected the furnace but failed to locate the leak and instead tried to sell me a new furnace for $6,000. Unsatisfied, I decided to get a second opinion.

After reading great reviews online, I scheduled a same-day appointment with RKM Heating and Air Conditioning. That evening, Zach Troutwine, the technician, arrived and performed a thorough diagnostic of my heating system. During his inspection, he located the gas leak at the connection before the gas valve—something the first company missed. He documented the repair area and other recommended fixes with photos and even performed a soapy water test to confirm the leak.

For the second appointment, Zach arrived right on time and installed new hard gas piping, completing the recommended repairs efficiently. Afterward, he tested both heating systems to ensure everything was functioning properly.

I was impressed by Zach's professionalism, attention to detail, and honest communication. The pricing was very reasonable, especially given the time and care he invested in the job. Thanks to Zach, my heating system is now safe and working perfectly.

Tech was very knowledgeable, and took pictures of our unit and explained to us what the problem was. And told us our options.
And if we still chose to repair it ., he can do that. . Even though we should think about replacing it soon. (,15yrs+old) lol.

Since Day 1 the support and service I have received has been exceptional and I could not ask for better. Today Morgan, Technician came out to appreciate with my service checks. That also provided very useful information so that all my equipment last as long as possible, plus provided instruction on some programming for the units. He proceeded to make sure everything is working good and was awesome along with being extremely knowledgeable. I have requested he be my technician each time my services come up. WOW! Awesome experience from beginning to end!! Courteous and patient office personnel and efficient technicians. Communication is the best ever. And punctuality is obviously important to them. We are looking forward to breathing cleaner air thanks to the duct cleaning they did for us.

This is my first time hiring rkm and Zach was assigned to my heater maitenance. He was very patience in explaining everything he would do and very transparent with the prices. Upon doing his work, he identified a potentially dangerous issue with the gas and worked until quite late to get it resolved. He explained his findings and recommendations with patience and detail, even considering it was getting very late.

Loved the experience. Needed their help in an emergency. Gave them a call and they were very polite. They came out right away. Jason was our technician. He was very polite, helpful and knowledgeable. He diagnosed our issue quickly and fixed it in a timely manner. I usually am skeptical when I get the bill but was very surprised that it wasn't as high as I had researched. Usually you get add ons that weren't expected but this was not the case. I would definitely use them again and ask to have Jason as our tech!
